U.S. News and World Report named the Salt Lake City metropolitan area — including Ogden, Provo and the cities in between — as one of the top 10 places to live in the country.
The rating is based on a handful of factors, including job market, quality of life, value and desirability. Overall, Salt Lake City earned a 7.1 rating out of 10, making it the No. 10 place to live in the nation.
The area moved up 17 spots from last year’s ranking, according to the Salt Lake Tribune.
The list notes Northern Utah offers a good value for housing costs compared to median household income. But that doesn’t necessarily mean those houses are easy to find — Ogden real estate is in high demand, leaving potential home buyers with limited options.
